Outer is a textile artist. Her practice explores cloth and clothing as the porous boundary between the private and the public, treating textiles as intimate architecture and social skin. Through sculptural and experimental approaches to making, her artwork investigates the tension between individuality and collectivity, and the paradox of standing out while seeking belonging.

Outer combines traditional textile techniques with innovative processes, developing a distinctive visual language that blurs the boundaries between art, design, and fashion. Her background in engineering and over 20 years as a university researcher inform a rigorous, research-driven practice, alongside a self-taught and materially intuitive approach to art-making.
